This report was produced by the Champlain Cardiovascular Disease Prevention Network. Champlain LHIN epidemiologist Bruce Libman was involved as contributor.The 2011 Atlas is an update of the 2008 edition, and both are a product of an extensive and thorough examination of CVD, risk factors, and determinants of cardiovascular health in the Champlain Region, chronicled in a systematic fashion for the four public health units.

Nov 17, 2010Child and Youth Profile - A Working Document of the Child and Youth Health Network for Eastern Ontario (CYHNEO)
This report was developed in response to the identified need for a tool to help agencies use a population health approach for planning services for children and youth. It provides a template that addresses key categories of population health; indicators and related data to populate these categories; and data for the Champlain region and for each of the five counties in Eastern Ontario.

Oct 8, 2010Champlain ranked top health region in Ontario
In a recent study, the Champlain LHIN ranked first of 13 ranked LHINs and fourth in Canada of 30 large health regions. When the government decided to devolve power from Queen’s Park to local communities, Michel Lalonde agreed to come out of retirement to serve as the first Chair of the Champlain LHIN – where he continued to coach his community to adopt best practices in governance, management and administration. In this role he encouraged and cajoled the health system leaders to collaborate to deliver high-quality care for the people of Champlain District.
